The Dream Center is the outreach ministry center of Church of the Highlands with locations in Birmingham, Auburn, and Montgomery, Alabama.
We believe knowing God has the power to change everything. The mission of the Dream Center is to create opportunities for people to know God personally, find freedom in a transforming relationship with Him, discover their purpose, and use their gifts and abilities to make a difference in the lives of others. Our strategies are designed to reach communities with the love of Christ by meeting both physical and spiritual needs.
In 2008, Church of the Highlands purchased and renovated two buildings in the Woodlawn community and opened the Birmingham Dream Center and the Christ Health Center. The Birmingham Dream Center makes its home in a national landmark, the historic Woodlawn Fire Station, and the Christ Health Center has its 16,600 square foot medical clinic in a neighboring building. The Christ Health Center in Birmingham offers help for physical needs by providing state-of-the-art primary healthcare, dental care, counseling and pharmacy services with the potential to serve more than 30,000 patients annually.
As the nucleus of Church of the Highlands’ outreach ministry, the Dream Center partners with neighborhood organizations in Birmingham, Auburn, and Montgomery to maximize the impact of bringing the love of Christ to the community and strategically designing ministries that bring the hope of Christ to those in need. Launching the Montgomery and Auburn Dream Centers marked an important milestone in reaching our goal to eventually establish Dream Centers in each of the cities outside of Birmingham where we have Church of the Highlands campuses.
The mission of the Dream Center is to reach people with the love of Christ by meeting both physical and spiritual needs.
