Ways to Serve in

The Dream Center offers a variety of serving opportunities and there are multiple ways to get connected. Here are the Serve Teams currently available to join:

Skilled Projects Serve Team

Provides specialized skills within the community. (First Saturday 8:00am – 2:00pm)

Neighborhood Outreach Serve Team

Serves community residents by offering encouragement, prayer, fellowship and ministry needs. (Thursday 5:30pm-7:00pm; First Saturday 8:30am-1:00pm)

Disaster Relief Serve Team

Respond to stricken areas by providing clean up, demolition and skilled tree removal as well as distribution of needed supplies. (As needed)

Internationals Serve Team

Connecting with students from countries abroad that are attending Auburn University. (First Saturday 8:00am-12:00pm/Additional opportunities vary)

Community Market Serve Team

Assist with organizing and restocking in the store. (First Saturday 11:30am – 1:00pm)

Yard Cleanup Serve Team

Serves our community by providing light yard work for those in need. (First Saturday 8:00am-12:30pm)

Snacks in a Backpack Serve Team

Package and deliver non-perishable meals for students to take home on the weekends, when school meals are not provided. (First Saturday 8:00am-1:00pm)

Streets Serve Team

Provide food, seasonal supplies, prayer, fellowship and love to the broken and hurting in the streets of Columbus. (First Saturday 10:30am-1:00pm)

Check-In Serve Team

Check-In Dream Team members for their SERVE. (First Saturday, times vary)

Trafficking Hope Serve Team

Provide sex trafficking awareness and education, small groups, street outreach, victim services, rescue and advocacy. (First Saturday 8:00am – 12:00pm). "Radiant" Night Outreach (Second Friday 7:00pm-11:00pm).

Admin Serve Team

Provide the Dream Center with office administration support data tracking, shopping needs and organization. (First Saturday 8:00am-1:00pm)

Host Serve Team

Helps setup/take-down, connects those serving to team leaders, assists with meal prep and delivery to teams. (First Saturday 7:00am-12:00am)

Our House Serve Team

Serves Ridgecrest Housing Authority by providing breakfast and fellowship with the kids and families, and completing construction/repair jobs on the property and in the home. (First Saturday 9:00am-12:00am)

Mat Makers Serve Team

Learn how to recycle plastic grocery bags into mats that provide a layer of softness, dryness and warmth for the homeless community served by the Streets Team. (First Saturday 8:00am-11:30am)

Dadeville Serve Team

Serves the needs of the school staff by assisting with yard cleanup, cleaning, organizing and making blessing packages for the teachers. (First Saturday 10:00am-12:30pm)

Embrace Grace Serve Team

Connects and ministers to single and expectant moms of unplanned pregnancies to guide and support them through their journey of motherhood. (First Saturday 8:00am-11:00am)

Loachapoka Serve Team

Serves the needs of the school staff by assisting with yard cleanup, cleaning, organizing and making blessing packages for the teachers. (First Saturday 9:00am-12:00pm)

Reeltown Serve Team

Serves the needs of the school staff by assisting with yard cleanup, cleaning, organizing and making blessing packages for the teachers. (First Saturday 8:00am-12:00pm)

DC Kids Serve Team

Provides the Highlands Kids experience and various other ministry opportunities for kids in low income areas, from our mobile DC Kids truck. (Second Saturday 8:00am-12:30pm)

To take your next step in making a difference through serving others with one or more of the above Serve Teams:

  1. Refer to our free SERVE app for details on times and locations of available First Saturday Serve projects.
  2. Join us for First Saturday Serve Huddle at 8am at the Dream Center in Auburn for fellowship over breakfast, followed by preparing our hearts through worship and prayer over our Serve Team projects.

  4. Attend Step Four of the Growth Track, which occurs the fourth Sunday of each month, and meet with our team at the Dream Center Outreach breakout session. Once you have completed all four steps of the Growth Track, you will be added to the team of your choice.

The mission of the Dream Center is to reach people with the love of Christ by meeting both physical and spiritual needs.
